South of Annapolis, in an area affectionately coined South County, this rural area has the feel of a century past. There is much to do here. From a life of sitting on your dock, watching the Eagles, Blue Herons, Egrets and wildlife to fishing, or walking through acres of cornfields, to visiting the many thousand water-front acres donated to the Smithsonian Institute for a research center. Antebellum mansions and beautiful old tenement houses sit off tree lined lanes. Much of this area is preserved under Agricultural or Farm Easements, therefore the area will never be a land of sprawl or development, preserving a beautiful way of life.
